I am a partner in the Corporate and Commercial team at Glaister Keegan. I have been practicing for over 30 years in a broad range of commercial areas, including financial markets, mergers and acquisitions, finance, insolvency and general business law.
My recent experience includes:
• Working with offshore clients to design and introduce finance products to the New Zealand market.
• Advice on successful recovery strategies, including mortgagee sales, liquidations and receiverships.
• Acting on the sale of a licensed insurance business to an offshore buyer.
• Obtaining exemptions from anti-money laundering compliance from regulatory agencies.
• Advice on Commerce Commission and Financial Markets Authority approvals and licensing requirements.
• Structuring wholesale and retail investment options for investors and investment managers.
• Acting for lenders on various loan and security arrangements, including advice on consumer lending requirements.
• Advice to clients on business set-ups, including capital structures, corporate governance and shareholder arrangements.
